John Fordham, Woodfield House Boys/Staff, 1942 – 1951.

I am John Fordham. I spent 9 years at Sebright School, both during and after the Second World War. I was Head Prefect in Woodfield for three years, and Head of the School, Captain of the First XV, and CSM of the Cadet Corps, in my final year (1950-51).

After graduation from Birmingham University, Dept. of Civil Engineering, in 1954, I came to Canada in 1955, worked in Heavy Construction for 12 years, on marine projects, all in Eastern Canada. I  then switched to Consulting Engineering in the hydro-electric field, primarily in the area of project cost control.

I retired early, in 1993, and in 1997, I relocated from Niagara Falls, myhome for 30 years, where I had raised my family, and moved to Guelph, to be close to my oldest daughter and her family.

I am interested to know how many of my contemporaries will remember me now, after nearly 60 yrs., and whether any of them emigrated to Canada, as I did. I would be interested in hearing news of, or from, any of my contemporaries at Sebright, and Woodfield House in particular, from school leavers in 1943 to new boys in 1950. A listing of active members of the Association who overlapped my Sebright years, would be helpful, together with their contact current information.

I look forward to your response(s).

John Fordham.
